This elbow piece of a fishing rod has a cylinder 1 into which a rod pipe R1, R2 can be inserted, and an elbow piece portion 2 which is disposed on the cylinder 1 and has an elbow contact surface 2a. In order to fix the rod pipe R1, R2, a press member 4 capable of being moved toward the diameter of the rod pipe R1, R2 is disposed in the cylinder 1. An opening 3a is disposed in a connection portion 3 between the elbow piece portion 2 and the cylinder 1. Fixing tools 5, 6 for moving the press member 4 toward the diameter of the rod pipe R1, R2 are disposed in the opening 3a. In a state that the elbow piece is attached to the rod pipe R1, R2, the fixing tools 5, 6 are placed on the inside from the elbow contact surface 2a.
