Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for production of fibers having superior spun fiber properties, eminently improved half-life of charge and improved charge stability.
CONSTITUTION: Electret fibers having improved charge stability are composed of a material which predominantly contains a fiber-forming polymer or polycondensate and an org. or organometallic charge control compd., as contained in toners for electrophotographic processes, wherein 0.01-3 wt.%, preferably 0.01-10 wt.%, particularly preferably 0.1-5 wt.%, based on the weight of the material, of the org. or organometallic charge control compd. is contained. The preparation thereof is also provided.
