Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve long-term maintenance of charges by making an ionomer, whose carboxylic group of ethylene-nonsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer having a specified quantity of unsaturated carboxylic acid content is neutralized at a specific ratio by alkaline earth metal ions, be electret.
SOLUTION: As a base polymer of an ionomer whose ion source is an alkaline earth metal, ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer which contains 1-30 wt.% unsaturated carboxylic acid is used. The copolymer may be a binary copolymer of ethylene and unsaturated caroxylic acid or multi-copolymer which is discretionally copolymerized with other monomers. As for the unsaturated carboxylic acid, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, ethacrylic acid, maleic acid, fumaric acid, itaconic acid, etc., are used. For the 10-100% of the carboxyl of such ethylene-nonsaturated carboxilic acid copolymer, a carboxyl neutralized by alkaline earth metal ions of Mg, Ca, Sr, etc., is used.
