Abstract:
To provide an electric actuator for an automobile that efficiently and inexpensively utilizes reverse operation of a ball screw mechanism without executing high-precision control.
The electric actuator 1 for an automobile has an electric motor 3, a ball screw mechanism 4, which has a ball screw 6 and a nut 7 screwed with the ball screw 6 via a plurality of balls, and a clutch mechanism 5 that can transmit or cut off a drive force from the electric motor 3 to the ball screw mechanism 4. The clutch mechanism 5 transmits the drive force when the electric motor 3 generates the drive force while it cuts off the transmission when the electric motor 3 is stopped.
