A transmission mechanism comprises an arm 160, a link plate 161, a pin 162, and the like. When first and second brushes 155, 156 generate A- and B-phase pulse signals in the initializing area of a pattern plate 153 respectively, the transmission mechanism stops transmission of a rotary force to the air mix door 1. Thereby, when the first and second brushes 155, 156 generate the A- and B-phase pulse signals in the initializing area respectively, the air mix door 1 is stopped, so that an identical position can be detected as a detection position of the air mix door 1 regardless of a rotational direction of an electric motor 110.
