To provide an electric assist vehicle of a new concept as a mobile vehicle for the self-support rehabilitation in which maintenance/enhancement of the muscle force can be expected by using the self muscle force of an aged person or a lightly handicapped person having degraded athletic ability of his lower limbs.
The muscular stepping force applied to a pedal 18 by using a muscular driving unit 20 is transferred to a crank shaft 23 as a rotational force constantly in one direction from via a unidirectional power transfer means 22 from a crank arm 21. The muscular driving force is output from a main sprocket 26 provided on the crank shaft 23 to a power transfer means 27, and the muscular driving force is transferred to an assist driving force operation unit 38 based on the change of the crank shaft read by a change reading means 30.
