Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric bed capable of bending at least one of both side parts of a back bottom upward in conjunction with the raising of the back bottom only when necessary.SOLUTION: An electric bed 10 comprises: a bottom 20 which is a floor plate body including a back bottom 21 for supporting an upper half of a human body; a drive mechanism 30 for driving the back bottom 21 in a direction to raise the upper half of the human body; and a bending mechanism 40 for bending at least one of both side parts of the back bottom 21 in a width direction of the electric bed 10 upward when the drive mechanism 30 drives to raise the back bottom 21. The bending mechanism 40 has a structure capable of switching between an interlock mode which increases an angle of the bending as an inclination angle of the back bottom 21 gets larger by the drive of the drive mechanism 30 and a fixing mode which maintains the angle of the bending constant without depending on the inclination angle of the back bottom 21.
