Abstract:
To provide an electric blower which is highly efficient in a wide air amount range, which is small and light, and to provide a vacuum cleaner including the same.SOLUTION: An electric blower includes: a first flow passage 17 passing a suction port 4 provided at an impeller 1 and flow passages of axial flow type diffusers 23, 24; an end bracket 13 which holds a bearing 11 on the opposite side from the impeller 1 side, and in which an opening part 15 is provided; a second flow passage 14 in which at least part of the flow passage passes an outer periphery of a stator 8 and the opening part 15; a third flow passage 35 passing the opening part 15, and formed by an internal wall of a stator core 8 and a plurality of coils 34; and a connection part 28 for connecting the first flow passage 17 and the second flow passage 14 and the third flow passage 35. The second flow passage 14 is at a position farther away from the impeller 1 than the connection part 28, and an opening area of the opening part 15 is equal to of greater than a flow passage cross sectional area of the connection part 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3B
