Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower free from abnormal stop caused by fixation of a carbon brush.SOLUTION: An electric blower includes: a rotor including a commutator 11 provided in a shaft 3, and an armature core having an armature winding wound thereon; a carbon brush 21 applying power to the commutator 11; a brush holder 20 enclosing the carbon brush 21; a stator positioned in the outer periphery of the rotor; a bracket holding the stator and rotationally holding the rotor; an impeller mounted on one end of the shaft 3; and a casing covering the impeller. At least one of the inner face of the brush holder 20 or the surface of the carbon brush 21 is coated with an insulating material 25. Accordingly, the electric blower can prevent abnormal stop caused by fixation of the carbon brush and can obtain good quality and a long lifetime.
