Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric brake device which reduces a current by maintaining a pressing force by using a friction force, can reduce power consumption by reducing a loss caused by conductor resistance, suppresses the heat generation of a motor, is improved in reliability and reducible in size.SOLUTION: A brake control device 2 comprises positive efficiency operation limit means 22 which sets a time for maintaining or reducing torque generated by a motor 7 within a range that a brake force generated by the pressing of a brake rotor 4 and friction pads 5, 6 is not lowered during a brake command value outputted from brake command means 12 is increased. The means 22 limits, for example, a ratio of time for increasing the brake force with respect to the sum of a time for increasing the brake force and a time for maintaining or decreasing the brake force to a prescribed value or lower.
