In this electric braking device wherein the rotating driving force of the electric motor 20 is converted into the screw axial driving force by the screw feeding mechanism 40, the screw axial driving force is converted into the piston axial driving force by a wedge transmitting mechanism 50, and a piston 14 is axially driven to generate the braking force, a gear transmitting mechanism 30 is mounted between the electric motor 20 and the screw feeding mechanism 40 for transmitting the rotating driving force of the electric motor 20 to a screw shaft 41 as an input element of the screw feeding mechanism 40, as the rotating driving force.
