To provide an electric bulb for a vehicle which allows a pressing spring having a simple shape to be easily assembled with good workability and securely fixed.
An electric bulb for a vehicle 1 is detachably attached to a reflector of a lighting fixture for a vehicle and is formed by joining a metal cap 8, fixed to an end part of a glass bulb 2 incorporating a filament 3 therein, and a metal sleeve 9, integrated with a mouth ring resin part 10, to multiple protrusions 8a to 8c and 9a to 9c which are respectively formed on outer peripheries of the metal cap 8 and the metal sleeve 9, housing a pressing spring 13 in the metal sleeve 9, and protruding a part of the pressing spring 13 from a through hole formed at a part of the outer periphery of the metal sleeve 9 to the exterior. In the electric bulb for a vehicle 1, the pressing spring 13 is molded into a substantially U shape in a plane view, and leg parts extending perpendicular from both ends of the pressing spring 13 are integrally provided. The spring 13 is fixed by press-fitting the leg parts 13 into the mouth ring resin part 10. The structure is adopted in this invention.
