To provide an electric bypass device for a battery for isolating and bypassing a failed battery module made up of secondary cells to allow the battery to continue operating under slightly degraded conditions.
This electric bypass device includes a first actuator and a second actuator which are triggered if the module has a failure. The actuators are each equipped with first, second and third terminals. The first and second terminals are electrically connected to an output terminal of the secondary cell, and the third terminal can be switched between the first and second terminals. The third terminal of the actuator is switched when the actuator is triggered. When either of the actuators is triggered (intentionally or unintentionally), the other actuator is automatically triggered if it is not yet triggered.
