Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric car in which function of an electric motor for running can be used as a parking brake without the need for any current consumption during parking.SOLUTION: An electric car comprises a short circuit 35, which short-circuits power source wiring 31, 31and 31of each phase of an electric motor 2 for rotationally driving a drive wheel via a relay contact 33 of relays 32and 32, between the power source wirings 31, 31and 31. The electric car comprises motor restraining control means 42 which causes the relay contact 33 to be electrically conducted, thereby short-circuiting a motor coil of each phase of the electric motor 2 and restraining the electric motor 2, when it is detected by detection means 43 and 44 that parking-related means, for example, a parking brake PB and a shift lever 46, having a function for parking a vehicle becomes a parking state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
