The electric cleaner is constituted by opening a battery housing chamber 26 in the transverse direction of a cleaner main part 1, by equipping the battery 38 in the battery housing chamber 26 from the transverse direction capable of attachment and the detachment, by fixing a 1st connector 28, which is connected to a circuit that drives an electric blower 21, in a predetermined position in the accommodating room 26, by fixing a 2nd connector 41 connected with the 1st connector 28 to the battery 38, and by arranging the 1st and the 2nd connector 28, 41 capable of connection and separation mutually at the time of the attachment or the detachment of the battery 38 in the battery housing chamber 26.
