Abstract:
To provide an electric compressor capable of remarkably lowering the noise by reducing an abutment area between a stator and a shell part.
An electric element (electric motor) 2 is formed of a stator 4 having a stator iron core 74 abutting on the inner wall of a sealed container 1 for fixation, and a rotor 5 having a magnetic body 45 and fitted to a rotary shaft 6 and supported freely to be rotated inside of the stator 4. In the case of expressing a dimension of a part of the stator iron core 74 abutting on the sealed container 1 in a direction of the rotary shaft 6 with H and a dimension of the stator iron core 74 in the direction of the rotary shaft 6 with H0, H and H0 are set so as to satisfy a formula H<H0.
