Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for a card capable of protecting a contact piece of a terminal by positively stopping an erroneously inserted card.
SOLUTION: The electric connector 10 for the card is provided with a card receiving cavity 40 allowing insertion and drawing of the card, and the terminal 60 facing the contact piece 61 engageable with a contact of the card toward the card receiving cavity 40 like a cantilever. An erroneous insertion preventing protruding part 70 for preventing erroneous insertion of the card is provided more to an inlet 41 side of the card receiving cavity 40 than a tip of the contact piece 61 of the terminal 60. The erroneous insertion preventing protruding part 70 is protrudedly provided in an upper side center of a second erroneous insertion preventing protruding part 72 mutually connecting tips of parallel protruding parts 71 provided along both sides of the contact piece 61 of the terminal 60.
