Abstract:
To provide a technology which reduces force needed for connecting a receptacle connector 5 and a plug connector 4.
A receptacle fitting 11 of a receptacle connector 5 includes a lock beam 23 which is a cantilever having a deflecting portion 26. The deflecting portion 26 extends in substantially parallel to a plane direction of a connector mounting surface 3a of a receptacle side substrate 3 in the outside of a receptacle housing 9. A plug fitting 8 of a plug connector 4 has an engaging portion 32 which pushes and passes over a free end 27 of the lock beam 23 to engage with the free end 27 of the lock beam 23 when the plug connector 4 is connected with the receptacle connector 5.
