PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce high-frequency interference by providing electric terminals to be engaged with each terminal of a first and second complementary fitting connectors for a first and second connector parts of an insulating housing and electrically abutting an external conductive shell of each of the fitting connectors on the corresponding conductive shield shell on the periphery of the insulating housing and joining them together.
SOLUTION: An upper and lower connector parts 38, 40 of an insulating housing 36 of an electric connector assembly 10 are fitted to complementary fitting connectors 12, 14, respectively. As a result, a contact part 42a and leaf terminals 54a of the connector parts 38, 40 are engaged with a leaf terminal 24 and spring terminals 30 of insulating fitting parts 22, 28 of the fitting connectors 12, 14, respectively. In addition, a conductive shield shell covering most part of the insulating housing 36 and external conductive shells 26, 32 of the insulating fitting parts 22, 28 are abutted on each other and retained by the connector parts and thereby, electrically connected together. Thus, high- frequency coupling is prevented by separating the electric connectors and shielding them from each other.
