Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric contact material which can solve the problem of conventional electric contact materials used for heavy load regions, e.g. Ag-W, Ag-WC, and Ag-WC-Gr with Gr added thereto that the deformation processing cannot be performed on them because they are hard-to-work materials fabricated by a sintering process, so electric contact materials of desired sizes require fabricating one by one according to a sintering process.SOLUTION: An electric contact material comprises a powder sintered material produced by sintering a powder mixture including 0.1-20 mass% of Ni as an essential additive element, and at least two kinds of materials selected from a group consisting of 1-30 mass% of W, 1-30 mass% of WC and 1-30 mass% of Gr with the balance including Ag.
