The electric cutting tool 100 has a housing 2 having the circular saw blade 1, a surface plate 4 supporting the housing 2, and a notch depth adjusting mechanism part 5 which tilts the housing 2 vertically to the surface plate 4 to adjust the amount of the circular saw blade 1 to be protruded from below the surface plate 4. The notch depth adjusting mechanism part has the operation lever 30 rotating/operating a fixing tool 22 fixing the housing 2 to the surface plate 4 at a desired inclination position.
