To provide an electric deraillure capable of avoiding damage to a motor when resistance is applied to an operating member which is driven by the motor.

The electric derailleur comprises a base member 400, a movable member 456; a linkage mechanism, a motor 480, a driven member 554 and clutches 586, 574. The linkage mechanism has link members 440, 444 coupled to the base member 400 and to the movable member 456 so that the movable member 456 moves relative to the base member 400. The motor 480 drives a drive member 550. The driven member 554 is driven by the drive member 550. The driven member 554 is coupled to the link members so that the link members move relative to the base member 400 to move the movable member 456 relative to the base member 400. The clutches are disposed in a power transmission path between the motor 480 and the link members.
