Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric device for opening and closing capable of mechanically easing a sudden increase in a rotation speed in rotating an output shaft, and an opening and closing instrument equipped with the electric device for opening and closing.SOLUTION: An electric device 1 for opening and closing includes an output shaft 43 to which an opening/closing member such as a toilet seat is connected, a motor 80, a gear train 90 for transmitting rotation drive force of the motor 80 to the output shaft 43 and rotating the output shaft 43 in an opening direction and in a closing direction around an axis line L. The electric device 1 for opening and closing is provided with a brake mechanism 1a consisting of a liquid damper device 10 and an energizing member 70 consisting of a coil spring. The brake mechanism 1a generates brake force against the rotation of the output shaft 43 when the output shaft 43 rotates to at least one side around the axis line L.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
