Abstract:
PURPOSE:To constitute an electric discharge device in such a manner that a charge wire or tension spring can be mounted in a tension releasing position by forming a piece of holding members of the discharge device movably between the tension applying position where tension is applied to the charge wire and the tension releasing means which is nearer the other holding member than said tension applying position. CONSTITUTION:The electric discharge device is used for an electrophotographic copying machine and a toner image is formed by a copying process on the surface of a rotating drum photosensitive body 51. The toner image is transferred onto transfer paper 52 by the discharge of a transfer charger 54. The 1st holding member 4 and the 2nd holding member 56 are disposed to front and rear end blocks 3, 6 respectively, provided between this charger 54 and a separating charger 55. The push down is released by a rib 9 when the end block cover 8 of the block 3 is removed. The member 4 is then rotated to the low face of the block 3 and the charge wire 1 is moved from the tension applying position to the tension releasing position near the member 56.
