PURPOSE: To provide the device which can stably and precisely execute electric discharge welding and working treatments and enables the easy molding treatment of intricate shapes as well.

CONSTITUTION: This device has a chucking device 12 which fixes a work 11 and determines the direction of the part to be worked of the work and positions the work, a grinder 13 which grinds the working part of the chucked work 1 and an electric discharge welder 14 which subjects the ground part of the work to a surface hardening treatment. Further, the device has a shape measuring instrument to decide whether the working is defective or nondefective by measuring the shape of the part of the work subjected to the electric discharge welding treatment in addition to the above-mentioned chucking device 12, grinder 13 and electric discharge welder 14. An automatic controller for program control of the operation over the entire part is further provided.
