Abstract:
PURPOSE: To collect high resistance dust with good efficiency by suppressing an inverse ionization phenomenon, by providing grid electrodes between discharge electrodes above earthing dust collection electrodes and intermittently applying high voltage to said grid electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: Grid electrodes 6 are parallelly provided in the spaces between discharge electrodes 2 so as to positioned above earthed dust collection electrodes 3 and high voltage 8 is intermittently applied to said electrodes 6 by a change-over switch 9. By this mechanism, an inversed ionization phenomenon can be suppressed and high resistance dust can be collected with good efficiency.
