To improve charging (electrically charging) performance and safety.SOLUTION: An electric dust collector 1 collects dust in air by charging the dust by corona discharge generated by application of a high voltage, and includes a liquid tank 3 which stores a conductive liquid, a discharging electrode 30 which is arranged via a certain interval from a liquid level of the liquid tank 3, a suction port 15 which is arranged in a position opposite to the liquid level of the liquid tank 3, and an atomization generating part 61 which atomizes the liquid in the liquid tank 3 toward the suction port 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
