Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric dust collector capable of enhancing the cleanliness of an airflow without increasing the draft resistance of the airflow and cleaning a mesh sheet satisfactorily.SOLUTION: An electric dust collector is equipped with an enclosure 26 for forming an air flow passage 81. A filter 35 is arranged downstream of a charge electrode 123 along the flow direction of the air flow and along a transverse section 82 crossing the passage 81. The filter 35 is formed of a mesh sheet having a conductive material at least partially on the surface. The conductive material of the filter 35 is connected with a ground-potential drive member (or a conductor) 64 arranged on the enclosure 26. The drive member 64 causes a relative movement of a cleaning brush 66 with respect to the mesh sheet. A control part 125 outputs a second control signal instructing the drive of the drive member 64 after the output of a first control signal instructing the power stop of the charge electrode 123.
