To provide an electric dust collector capable of reducing production cost.
In the electric dust collector, it is not required to separately produce a frame body for spreading an ionizing wire and a cover for covering and protecting the ionizing wire such as conventional electric dust collector and the production cost of the electric dust collector is remarkably reduced since an ionizing wire is spread at a cover 10 itself for covering and protecting the ionizing wire. A spreading passage of the ionizing wire is freely changed in accordance with the dust collecting capacity since plural spreading parts 11a to 11f are previously disposed at the cover 10 so that one ionizing wire may be spread along plural different passages. In such a way, the production of plural covers 10 in accordance with the dust collecting capacity is obviated, the cost of a metallic mold used for production of the cover 10 is reduced, and the production cost of the electric dust collector is reduced.
