To provide an electric dust collector compactly formable without lowering the capacity for treating polluted air and the dust collecting efficiency and able to be installed in a narrow space.

The collector 1 has an air inlet 2 sucking polluted air D and an air outlet 4 discharging clean air F, a housing 6 having an air passage 8 in the inside and a charging and collecting section 9 for charging a particulate P with corona discharge CD to make the particulate P adsorbed to an inside wall 28 and collected. The section 9 houses a turbo fan 11 generating an air current and a discharge electrode 16 having a discharging protrusion capable of generating corona discharge CD and is connected with a drive motor 14 driving e.g. the fan 11 in a revolvable way. The polluted air D is sucked and the clean air F is discharged through such a revolution, the unit 9 generates corona discharge CD while the electrode 16 revolves.
