Title:
ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT PROTECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS641423
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the reaction time by employing an explosive member in one pole of a protective switch. CONSTITUTION: A pawl 12 acts at individual parts of a protective switch 10 while being urged by a tensile spring 24 having one end fixed to a fixed wall and the opposite end interacting with the pawl 12. Since an explosive member 14 touches the pawl 12 at one end thereof, a contactor 11 is prevented from being released through movement of the pawl 12. A wire 13 is led to a sensor not shown. More specifically, the protective switch 10 can interrupt current supply from a power supply to a load through the use of the electrochemical explosive member 14 being actuated electrically. Immediately upon destruction of the explosive member 14, the pawl 12 is released and pulled back abruptly by the tensile spring 24. Consequently, an upper contactor holder 23 moves upward to disconnect the contactors 11 from each other.
