Abstract:
To provide electric equipment for preventing failure from occurring by the misuse of a user.
In a cellular phone 1, an overvoltage break circuit 6 breaks a supply current according to the application of an overvoltage to power supply terminals 2 and 3, and protects a battery unit 14, an internal circuit 20, and the like. An overdischarge prevention circuit 19 breaks a charge battery 15 from the internal circuit 20 when the terminal voltage of the charge battery 15 becomes a prescribed voltage or less, thus preventing the deterioration of the charge battery 15 due to excessive discharge and hence preventing failure even if a user uses a non-standard AC adaptor or continues to use the charge battery 15 without charging by mistake.
