Title:
ELECTRIC FAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59101597
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide different periods of cyclic blowing and thereby enhance the sense of coolness by allowing wind-direction changing rotary plates, installed ahead a plurality of axial flow fans, to operate at different revolving speeds.

CONSTITUTION: When the shaft 9 of a motor 1 rotates, vanes 5, 5 are driven in the same direction at the same revolving speed, the rotational component of the wind produced is going to rotate wind-direction changing plates 13, 13 in the same direction as the vanes 5, 5. Here major gears 14, 14 of these wind-direction changing plates 13, 13 are meshing with minor gears 17, 18, respectively, which are meshing with each other through pinions 19, 20, so that oppositely directed forces are applied to the plates 13, 13. Because the number of cogs of minor gear 17 is larger than that of the other 18, the plate 13 in meshing with the latter 18 rotates in the opposite direction to the vane 5 at a low speed. Accordingly the combined wind after passing through the plates 13, 13 is now provided with possibility of varied period of cyclic blowing.
