PURPOSE: To prevent an electric fan from upsetting, by providing a weight having a spherical surface on the back of a base, the weight producing moment in reverse direction larger than the moment by which a fan motor upsets when the fan upsets.

CONSTITUTION: A base 3 supporting a fan motor 1 for rotating a blade 2 has a bottom portion with a spherical back surface. A weight 4 is fixed in the inside of the bottom portion, the weight 4 producing moment in reverse direction larger than the moment in an upsetting direction caused by the blade 2 and the fan motor 1 when an electric fan is going to upset. As a result, even if the electric fan is inclined at any angle, it does not upsets by the moment produced by the weight 4.
