Title:
ELECTRIC FIELD DETECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003090853
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve problems that a charge detection device like a leaf electrometer cannot directly determine polarity of charge or recognize presence of an active electric field or spatial arrangement of a static electric field, in particular, it cannot detect a property of a tiny charged body or a static electric field of a small region and that such a device is assumed to be used in a fixing manner and inconvenient for carrying and the display is not easily recognized.

In this device, a current amplifier 2 including a power supply is contained in an insulator container 1 and a pair of electrodes 3 and a display device 4 are arranged outside for allowing easily moving. Current induced in the device is amplified and displayed for making properties of static and active electric fields recognizable. In the static field, polarity of the charge and direction and shape of the electric field are spatially made recognizable by fluctuation of the electric field originating from a relative move of this device and an object to be measured. In the active electric field, the property is made recognizable with putting this device still. Thereby, properties of the static electric field of tiny charged body or the small region and the active electric field can be detected.
