Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric furnace that can facilitate melting a molten material while suppressing damage of the electric furnace, and to provide a method for operating an electric furnace.SOLUTION: The electric furnace performs electric resistance heating with respect to molten slag to melt the molten material on the molten slag. The electric furnace includes: a lance for bubbling the molten slag; and a drive device for performing automated loading/drawing of the lance to/from the molten slag.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
