Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide such a electric heater and its manufacture with good heat radiation efficiency and temperature rise efficiency as being capable of firmly supporting heating elements in grooves formed in a ceramic fiber compact.
CONSTITUTION: Electric resistant heating elements 5 are respectively fitted into plural grooves in a compact 2 which is a molded ceramic fiber plate. The outer face of the heating element 5 is bitten into a movement restricting part 7 which is integrated by pouring dense kneaded ceramic 6 into the grooves 3. By solidifying the kneaded ceramic 6 in an impregnated state along both edges of the grooves 3, collars 8, 8 are formed to prevent the falling of the heating elements 5. Plural layer-to-layer separation preventing pins are driven into upheaval parts 4 between the grooves 3, 3 in the compact 2.
