Abstract:
An electro-hydraulic control includes a closed loop hydraulic system comprising a reciprocating pump (55) which forces hydraulic liquid under pressure into the system and hydraulic actuators e.g. 60, 62 which are operated by hydraulic pressure in the system to perform some kind of useful work. A valveing arrangement (58) in the system directs hydraulic liquid from the pump always to the delivery side of the system and also directs the movement of the hydraulic actuators in accordance with the particular work operation to be performed. An electric servomotor 10 controlled by eg a computer (Fig. 1, not shown) rotates a thread 14 to move a carriage 37 connected to a reciprocating piston 48 in a final cylinder 50 of the pump 55. An accumulator 82 controls minimum pressure in the system.
