Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily attach a discharge lamp to a holder by providing the holder with a pair of elastic metal wire elements in contact with a pair of contact pins provided at a connector at the base part of the low voltage mercury discharge lamp. CONSTITUTION: A pair of electric contact pins 24 and 25 are provided at a connector 16 at the base part of a low voltage mercury discharge lamp 3 having U-shaped discharge paths 17-19. On a holder 15 to which this connector 16 is fitted, a pair of elastic metal wire elements 26 and 27 are provided so as to be respectively contacted with the pins 24 and 25. Then, the wire element 26 is connected to a stable resistor 4 and the wire element 27 is connected to a high voltage generator 4.
