Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated wire excellent in wear resistance and flexibility.SOLUTION: In the insulated wire, the periphery of a conductor is coated with an insulating layer containing an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, and the insulating layer further contains an elastomer. The elastomer is preferably an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer, a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer, or an amide thermoplastic elastomer. Examples of the styrenic thermoplastic elastomer include a polystyrene-poly(ethylene/propylene) block copolymer, a polystyrene-poly(ethylene/propylene) block-polystyrene copolymer, a polystyrene-poly(ethylene/butylene) block-polystyrene copolymer, and a polystyrene-poly(ethylene-ethylene/propylene) block-polystyrene copolymer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
