Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a lamp equipped with a cap, in which an insulator can be firmly fixed in a metal outer plate with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A lamp is equipped with a lamp cap 10 having a metal outer plate 20, and an insulator 30 having an outer surface 31 surrounding its periphery is fixed between first and second end faces 32, 33 in the outer plate. In a cross section II to II, dents 34 exist on the outer surface. Flattened portions 35 exist among the dents, when the insulator and the outer plate are assembled together, the same allows the deformation of the metal outer plate and also allows its temporary spreading in the vicinity of the dents. As a result, the metal outer plate can be depressed much deeper than the case, in which the outer surface has no flattened portions of the protrusion portions 23 in the metal outer plate. Accordingly, when the metal outer plate is released, the protrusion portions 23 are thrusted into the dents 34, so as to grasp, and thereby the insulator 30 is firmly fixed in the metal outer plate 20.
