To provide an electric linear drive actuator using a planetary gear reduction mechanism and a ball screw mechanism, with a casing designed in simple and compact manner to allow easy work for assembling components in the casing.
As a carrier for a planetary gear 2c via which a screw stem 3a of the ball screw mechanism 3 is connected to the input shaft of the planetary gear reduction mechanism 2, a fixed shaft 8 is arranged on which a sun gear 2a is provided on the inner diameter side of a screw stem 3a. An internal gear 2b is provided on a nut 3b of the ball screw mechanism 3 for giving linear motion to the nut 3b. The planetary gear reduction mechanism 2 is assembled in the inner diameter side thereof. Thus, the mechanisms each have a compact size when assembled, and the components have simple construction when mounted in the casing 4. The electric linear drive actuator has the casing 4 designed in a simple and compact manner to allow easy work for assembling the components in the casing 4.
