Abstract:
To provide an electric motor assembly achieving a reduction in load that is applied to a motor and efficient cooling.SOLUTION: An electric motor assembly 1 includes: a motor 3; a motor casing 4; a strip-shaped thermoelectric conversion element 5 affixed to the inner surface of the motor casing 4; a cooling fan 8; a power supply 21 for supplying power to the thermoelectric conversion element 5; and a control unit 20 controlling such that the power supply 21 operates to supply power to the thermoelectric conversion element 5. The thermoelectric conversion element 5 has a structure where a first spin conversion to convert a spin flow generated by a temperature difference between both surfaces of the thermoelectric conversion element 5 into electromotive force and rotate the cooling fan 8, and a second spin conversion to convert a spin flow generated by power supplied from the power supply 21 into a heat flow and dissipate heat of the motor 3 to the outside of the motor casing 4 are performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
