A motor case 20, which houses an electric motor body 10A, a drive circuit 41 of the electric motor, a substrate to which a control circuit 42 to control the drive is incorporated, and a wall, which separates the electric motor body and the substrate, are formed of a material with greater thermal conductivity over the entire inner area of the motor case in the electric motor 10 for the motor-driven power steering device. The electric motor 10 for the motor-driven power steering device is provided with a substrate mounting part 23 to support a bearing 25 of an output shaft 11 of the electric motor body extended to the substrate side by penetrating the wall, a brush lead 27 extended to the substrate side by penetrating the substrate mounting part from the brush 33 side of the electric motor body, and at the same time, having a larger surface area on the the brush side, and an ECU lead 75 to be electrically connected with the brush lead by being extended from the substrate side.
