Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor for a motor-driven power steering that reduces torque ripple and prevents an increase in manufacturing cost, and to provide a motor-driven power steering device.SOLUTION: A motor for a motor-driven power steering includes: a rotor yoke having a circular outer edge; a stator core that is annularly arranged on an outer side of the rotor yoke with a predetermined gap in between; excitation coils that generate magnetic fields for exciting the stator core; and plate magnets that are embedded in the rotor yoke. The center of gravity of each of the plate magnets is positioned at a distance of 0.70 or more to 0.87 or less from the center of rotation of the rotor yoke with the radius being 1.
