Abstract:
To prevent chip from entering a gap between an end ring and a bracket.SOLUTION: An electric motor comprises: a stator 5; a rotor 6 provided on an outer peripheral side of a stator 5 via an air gap 40 and having a rotor bar 30 provided in a rotor iron core 7 and end rings 8 respectively provided in axially upper and lower ends of the rotor iron core 7; and brackets 9 configured in such a manner that the rotor 6 is fixed to the brackets 9 and a bearing 10 is inserted between the shaft 2 and the brackets 9. The end ring 8 is formed so that a gap is not formed between the brackets 9, and the end ring 8 is formed in such a manner that it projects to an inner side from an inner diameter side of the rotor iron core 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
