To provide an electromagnetic coil that enables thinning of film and has superior radiative properties, an electric motor with high performance, and to provide a manufacturing method of the electric motor.
In an electric motor having electromagnetic coils, the electromagnetic coils is configured such that wires with gas phase growth insulating films being formed over the entire outer periphery of an electrically conductive substrate are wound therearound. More specifically, an insulating film is evaporated on the electrically conductive substrate, such as copper. Alternatively, the insulating film is formed on the electrically conductive substrate through a sputtering method. As insulating materials, oxides or nitrides, for example, are used. With such a configuration, film thinning of the insulating film can be enabled for the outer periphery of the electrically conductive substrate, and the number of turns of the electromagnetic coils can be increased. In addition, radiative properties of the insulating coating can be enhanced. Accordingly, drive capability of electric motor can be also enhanced. Furthermore, reduction in the size of apparatus can be achieved.
