Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shortage of battery capacity by writing a member's threshold value based on a mean traveling distance in the member's IC card when renting an electric motor vehicle to this member, reading the threshold from the IC card and comparing it to the present traveling distance by the electric motor vehicle for rent.
SOLUTION: A threshold D, which is a value obtained by adding a traveling allowance to the mean traveling distance of the vehicle user, is recorded on the user's IC card by a rent and return port terminal unit when renting the vehicle (501). The threshold D recorded on this IC card is read out of a IC card read/write unit, the actual traveling distance C from renting the vehicle to the present is detected (502), and this actual traveling distance C is compared to the threshold D read from the user's IC card (503). As a result of the comparison, if the actual traveling distance C exceeds the threshold D, a warning display is executed. Thus, run-down battery of the motor vehicle can be prevented.
