To reduce vibration and operation sound while enhancing workability in the attachment of connection wires and a winding, in an electric motor which can vary the rotational speed of an armature by switching electrification of three brushes.
An electric motor 1 has two pairs of pole of magnets 4, 18 teeth, and 18 segments 14. A winding 12 and connection wires forming an armature coil 7 are formed as a series of first conductors or second conductors. Each connection wire is connected with a pair of segments 14 located at positions around a rotating shaft 5 point symmetrically to each other. Each winding 12 is linked to the start-of-winding and the end-of-winding via a linkage wire formed by either the first conductor and/or the second conductor, and the linkage wire is longer than the connection wire.
