Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the cooling performance of a stator, while achieving compaction.SOLUTION: In an electric motor where a plurality of protrusions 30 and recesses 31 are provided in a circumferential direction, respectively, on the outer periphery of the stator 23 and the inner periphery of the housing 24, the stator 23 is attached to the housing 24 while fitting the protrusions 30 and recesses 31, and a cooling passage 34 is provided in the housing 24, the main passage 35 of the cooling passage 34 is provided independently in each portion between the stator attachment parts of the housing 24 by the protrusion 30 and recess 31, and a connection passage 36 for interconnecting the adjacent main passages is provided so as to traverse the stator attachment part at a position deviated axially therefrom.
